THE VILLAGES SAXATIONS

is made up of Soprano Sax, Alto Saxes, Tenor Saxes,

and Baritone Saxes which perform regularly around The Villages

at various venues such as Club Meeting, Community Events,

Church Performances, and other Special Events throughout the area.

Membership is open to all Villages Residents with prior experience

in playing and preforming on Saxophone.

BANDS OF THE VILLAGES

Welcome to the website of the Bands of the Villages (BOTV). The BOTV is an

umbrella organization which includes a variety of concert bands, musical groups,

and instrumental ensembles.

 

    • All of the directors and participating musicians are volunteers and reside in

    the Villages.

    • The musicians, both amateur and professional, enjoy playing music together,

    rehearsing routinely, and performing throughout the year in a variety of

    locations.

    • Potential members are welcomed to contact the directors of the different

    bands, groups, or ensembles for possible placement.

    • The major purpose listed in the BOTV bylaws is to provide cultural benefits

    and musical entertainment for the community through concerts, festivals,

    parades, and other events.

    • The business of the organization is managed by a Board comprising the

    music directors and representatives from each of the approved concert

    bands, groups, or ensembles.

 

The BOTV is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit corporation with a significant portion of performance proceeds given to charitable programs including those involved

with music education, senior health, and military families.
